The KLC School of Design Deco Debutante of the Year Award is a partnership between The Deco Affair and KLC School of Design to celebrate the most exciting and emerging design talent.

The first ever winner of the inaugural new interior design industry award, 'the Deco Debutante Award', was announced at this year's Deco Affair on 3rd November. The winner of the 2011 award was Javier Garcia-Alzorriz with runners-up Petra Arko and Irina Larina, all graduate students from London's leading interior design establishment, KLC School of Design. The winner received the 'Mark Humphrey Trophy', a one-off sculpture carved in rare white onyx by top designer and artist Mark Humphrey, that will be handed on to each new winner year on year.
